Pinterest in now the place to go to for street fashion inspiration with this transition from 202 summer to the winter. Layers are a must with this soon to be cold winter. Hiking and going out on the kayak were perfect for the summer 80s weather and going to the beach but now buckling down with everything, style is much more casual and leisurely.
Who can say no to a fun board game night of monopoly, or the infamous card games What Do You Meme? and Cards Against Humanity. A simply dominoes game and making christmas cookies by the fire is a perfect night in.
With 2020, fashion is still inventive with previous styles and trends, but now fitting that with the function of this year styles are more sweatsuits and loungewear and less cocktail and after party outfits. With holiday parties and christmas events taking a backset this year, those festive outfits are not strictly taking a backseat this year but things are just going to be more intimate with smaller family activities and friendly holiday movie nights with hot coco.
....Transformed to Winter Street Fashion
Were the summer and spring fashion tended to have more sun dresses and spaghetti straps the winter is almost fitting with this current climate, cozied up and covered. The blight of a medical mask can be cover with a stylish scarf or a puffer jacket. The colder weather means layers and theres no stop to the inventiveness in the winter.
Turtlenecks are once again useful and not a thing of the past, not just for hiding hickeys any more! The mask adds a bottom layer to the winds in winter weather in the city or just a local stroll in the suburbs and an oversized turtleneck can add a second protective layer. Combining fashion with function.
I want my personal inspiration to be a mixture of NYC chique with a pop of color from suburban trends and a healthy mixture of Gossip Girl styled classic poised fashions. I would kill for Serena Van Der Woodsen's closet as well as Blair's formal gown-wear.

Sure, it's easy to make this years winter attire monochromatic and all black but a pop of color is just what this year needs, a winter green sweater or navy cashmere paired with a a sleek jacket is perfect. Silver or gold shimmer with a dark pant is perfect for the holiday. Oh and if you don't have one already, find your staple holiday ugly sweater, necessary for sure.
Now this might seem just random but I love a winter street style take from nearly solely New England Influencers. Or actually scrap that, Any of them who lives in areas basically that experience seasons for sure. Seeing all these LA folks with these sponsored posts about fall and winter fashion picks when its well known they all call 60's and below freezing....Anyways, Here are just a few of my inspirations picks from none other than Pinterest for this year.
This probably holds all my personal inspiration if need be. Happy Holidays.
