Alternative Radio: Outdated and Behind July 2024

With social media dominating on music distribution, radio has definitely fallen way behind on the trends but business wise it is still doing great in terms of listeners less so on music diversity but that's not the point. 

As a business you want as many listeners as possible so you play the hits and play what works, like a wedding playlist or a bar, play to the greater masses not the single hipster in the corner. 

You can see even the top hits on media base they all may show new or up and coming music but the artists are established with huge fanbases no matter the quality of song. 

Hozier, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Twenty One Pilots, Sum 41, Papa Roach, and that is just the top 10. I'll link below songs I love from this list and also others on alt radio I love as well.
