VMAs 2025 recap

Lady Gaga of course won, she is perfect and can be two places at once, flying probably right now to MSG by blade. 

Lola Young sounded great but honestly looked like she didn't want to be there? idk 

Ricky Martin, perfect, forgot how hot he is lol obsessed, livin la vida local for sureeeee

Tates performance everyone loved, I think she's like the next new pop girlie. I'm still getting used to her like nasally voice, I can't tell if I like it or not. she seems like a Camilla/BeBeRexha replacement in the industry. Feel like it was a dance performance more than a song but everyone loves her!

Rose won song of the year with APT and her speech was mad long but she looked like super nervous and honestly happy for her, she seems super appreciative, love the song, love her journey. 

can't believe busta rhymes didn't perform look at me now lol that might be the only song I know by him lol but everyone loved him so who knows lol

Sabrina performed and was amazing, 80s is that going be the pop theme next year? first Doja then Sabrina, the big teezed hair and stuff. 

Then katseye won, for best push artists. that seems like a given since they were doing the preshow performance before at the UBS Arena. looked fun! 

post Malone and jelly roll performed or at his tour they prerecorded but sounded great! both were great at like Coachella this past year. 

the kid laroi killed it, fun little country song with Bailey Zimmerman. 

Mariah carey didn't perform always be my baby lol my fav song, but she did do why you so obsessed with me which made me think that Eminem would come out but no guess that beef isn't squashed lol 

Lady Gaga performed dead dance, honestly so theatrical and with a clear vision of art love. she lows key scares me but year lady gag for sure with out a doubt talented like way talented. 

Alex warren kinda killed it, didn't know oath first song but love, ordinary as much as it may sometimes have been overplayed he was everywhere at festivals and hoping he has a huge tour coming up. feel like they are marketing him as to be the next benson Boone type person but seems less corny even though he was found on TikTok I think not totally sure. love his voice, seems fun love. Super gospelly

ozzys tribute was fun, yungblud seems like the next big rock guy love that for him. Steven Tyler is a legend. Great performance. 

jbalvin omg I almost forgot him but did know any of his song but a vibe, saw him in concert a few years back and a whole vibeeeee

the hunters present the award to Sabrina for album of the year which honestly I agree. any album now a days where I know more than 3 songs on it is huge lol Can artists sell good CDs again? I feel like everything is just one hit wonders which is probably profitable for the label but like oh Lady Gaga I could have seen her winning too because she performed like majority of the songs at Coachella and it was major. 

Megan Malroney performed, crazy blue eyes, love, need to deep into country more. her song seemed like a fun vibe. 

Sombr actually seems like a chill kid. saw he had performed in the city for his upcoming album and shut down the streets of his home town neighborhood, that much feel crazy for him. Loved the first song. seems like an 80s disco themed, idk what label everyone us under but everyone is on theme I guess, 

Ariana grande won pop song on the year and I didn't know it but she seemed super sweet up there and thanked everyone of her team for the shoot and thanked her fans and idk she seems so adorable I love. she's such an easy person to root for!

Lady gaga and bruno mars best collab makes sense, then song was everywhere kinda more last year but eh! love that for them 

Conan Grey performed and he seems like the male version of Chappell roan, very theatrical and whimsy, good voice!

Ariana grande won video of the year, honestly may hav not have been the most watched video but seems like out of all them she put in the most into the story and the production, as all of her music videos are. love that for her, didn't even know she is going on tour, that's awesome.
