Harry Styles: Grammy Award Controversy

 It has come out that Ben Winston, a long time producer of the James Corden Late Late Night Show and producer of the Grammys is good friends with musician Harry Styles. Not exactly a secret as well with the Academy tweeting out the connection in the middle of the awards 

Looking back in history Harry Styles has known Winston since his days in One Direction, even his daughter was on Styles’ last album and song that Harry performed that night on stage. Back in the day they also used to live together after Xfactor and before he became a mega star.

Harry style won the awards Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal. Album of the year included the likes of Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Adele, Lizzo, Kendrick Lamar, Coldplay, ABBA, Brandi Carlisle, and Mary J Blige. 

When Harry Styles even went to go accept his award, there were audible boos from the crowds, twitter up in arms claiming the Bey Hive thought the night was rigged. 

 While albums are not as playable now a days and singles and smaller releases seem to be more popular, personally the only artists I did not know who had new music out were Kendrick Lamar, ABBA, Brandi Carlisle, and Mary J Blige. The artists I knew who were touring were Bad Bunny, Coldplay, Harry Styles and Adele with her Las Vegas tremulous residency. 

Over all a great night of music, always good to create a conversation with awards shows rather than no one caring at all. As much as music is a business it also hears the fans voices as well. 

i saw two grammy voters quoted in that variety article who said they didn't vote for beyoncé because she always wins and every time she does something new "it's a big event" and it really pisses me off. people just don't like seeing Black women win "too much." it's nasty.
