As much as I miss the original band, it's crazy how Linkin park has grown and evolved their sound and like a Green Day and Blink, have stood the test of time. You can see how the music has evolved to the music videos to the fans as well,

From the get go there seemed to be an uphill battle with the new singers both in terms of new songs, and new image.
When Linkin Park did a handful of pop up shows after their return announcement, the arena was full, the fans were singing to every lyric with nostalgia to the controversial news surrounding the new singer as well still kinda being talked about. It is a tricky topic band aside.
They do still seem fairly popular though, with an arena tour last year, new album dropped with their new singer Emily and other festival dates and performances.

Kinda a crazy moment, but also felt crazy because it felt too close to when sound gardens Christ Cornell had passed. Not really a lot to say
but you just think back to all the shows and tours you could have seen with the original band compared to now. things are definitely different like 10 year later.

When the news dropped about the new singer for sure all that was taken about was religion, and she does seem to have that gritty voice, but does still feel like a cover band, the live production is amazing,
I always love hearing the intro but once you settle in doesn't feel the same but there is nostalgia for sure. The fans energy is awesome, sometimes though it just reminds you to miss the original singer Chesters voice.
Was there ever a doubt?

rock has passionate fans and temperamental at times with not wanting bands to change their sound or not liking the sell out process even though that means a band is getting paid and has made a name for themselves in the industry.
they have multiple music videos with views in the billions and the fans are the reason and are still strong years later even with a new singer and sound sorta.
