2026 was seeing 3 generations of Korean music and kpop megastars

BIGBANG 

starting off with BIGBANG, after seeing more of the Korean culture in the music space, with other bands and groups shouting them out like Kpop Demon Hunter Audrey Nuna to Epic High to banter with BTS it was cool coming in as a new fat at coachella, huge crowd, 

great setlist even not knowing 90% of the songs , vibe was great, loveddd the trot, and GDragon from the get go was like oh okay this is the star power guy. Taeyang felt obviously the hot guy with great voice and Deaung seemed like the great voice funny guy

the fanbase and energy was huge after not being familiar with their sound, leaving there as a new fan the songs that stood out to me were the trot songs, Good Boy for being low key kinda cheesy in the best way with fun lyrics and the sexy vibe lol then home sweet home was awesome. 

and sober felt like a. super up beat song but also like looking at the lyrics were like woahhh so deep and real and so theoppsite up the upbeat cheery sounding song. also side not the English lyrics were so simple and the Korean translation for some songs like sober where like omg like so deep. bts also kinda does this, need more songs with like real lyrics.

BTS

BTS was crazy cuz you can see how huge the fan base was from even doors. With the soundcheck, the freebees, the energy the love and nostalgia with the surprise songs and throwbacks. NYC was so energetic with dance mob stuff to restaurants showing up and showing out and grand central decked out too. 

I was surprised while kinda studying for the shows not knowing their music really besides oh I looked up my Spotify, it was like I only knew the songs mic drop and boys with luv and I knew fake love from the award show and butter and dynamite just felt like they have always been around. like perfect pop songs.

But they have explored so many different sounds and dabbled in different genres. That must be so fun creatively and as a fan getting to heard a favorite singer try new things and seeing different styles as a group and solo work as well. 

their solo projects all seemed so different from each other kinda cool and unexpected from the pop stuff I feel like people know them for. Even besides that, the first album or couple of songs they have done are so different than like a butter or dynamite. like their rap or dance edm stuff when looking them up seems so unexpected. less dance focused.

So for Arirang it was a cool concert to see with their throwback stuff and newer stuff, so cool for sure less poppy stuff more dance heavy and beat heavy, interested to see next what they do, individually or solo work.

    

Epik High

Then epic high, feel like this is where BTS will be in the future and it was such a vibe crowd, again only knew the hits when cramming since it was such a last minute concert. Epik High looks good like they know what their doing, 

almost a variety show at times which I love.  they seem like they know their routine and have a long setlist and are an independent group looked like they enjoy it

I know they aren't kpop ,I wonder if this is how kpop acts are gunna grow after they settle and become independent with intimate venues or if the ease is just being a seasoned artist. kind of a look into the future of kpop groups so mellow and fun, about the music, mutual love for the music the group and the fans. 

looks kinda cool, and they show love to the future kpop groups and seem to still be friends with their past singer friends, feels like their music core is super mellow and encouraging and friendly and easy going. im sure its not easy growing as an artist solo and as a group for sure artistically creatively and professionally.
