I love how retail much is low key perfect, club house music. a vibe for sure. I love discovering new music just Shazamming everything there.
The only worry I have is what is the curated list? I'm assuming pop music is probably preferred but maybe expensive? so indie acts might have an edge.

But then again it is a playlist and not live music so who is to say AI music doesn't take over every retail, food and gym place ever either because it is cheaper or whatever reason, if it is the new trend.
I love a live vocal, a live band, maybe even EDM/dance has already blended the use of tech and producing music that enjoyed by the masses. The artists are a million percent producers with a greater name recognition in my mind.
I hope again, that artists are being recognized for this and are getting paid out, because it creates such an inviting energy for people, not only the customer but for the casual window shopper. It's a vibe that brings a shopper through the door.
Again, I hope the artist gets paid. Because as much as the mannequin with the new seasonal line in the window brings in the shoppers the music makes them stay a little longer in my mind, rather than a silent retail store.
Stores are not only an accidentally music vibe curator but even sell the merch, the CDs are distribute as well for the artists. Even some throw their own meet & greets and such for promotions.
Playlists are great ways to break an artist's where the legacy acts have fans come in to buy the merch and records. As much as everything is going digital, I do hope in person shopping doesn't totally leave. I love a physical CD, I love buying merch, I finding new music to listen to. Shazam is perfect for retail shopping.
